Materials

Our memorial urns are made using solid hardwoods, selected for durability, stability, and long-term performance. Each material is chosen to ensure structural integrity and to age well over time.

We do not use MDF, particle board, or veneers.
All pieces are made from real wood and natural materials.

White Oak

White oak is one of the primary hardwoods we use. It is a dense and durable wood commonly used in fine furniture and architectural woodworking. White oak ranks high on the Janka hardness scale and is valued for its strength, moisture resistance, and pronounced grain. Its open pore structure responds well to natural finishes and contributes to long-lasting construction.

Mahogany

Mahogany is a traditional hardwood used for centuries in high-end European and American furniture. It is known for its dimensional stability, smooth grain, and warm color. Mahogany is frequently selected for furniture and woodworking applications where consistency and longevity are required.

Hard Maple

Hard maple is a dense hardwood with a light color and tight grain. We typically use hard maple as an accent wood to create contrast with darker species. It is commonly used in premium furniture and cabinetry due to its strength, durability, and clean appearance.

Walnut

Walnut is a widely used hardwood in fine furniture making. It is known for its rich brown color and natural variation. Walnut offers good structural stability and durability, making it suitable for long-term use in heirloom-quality pieces.

Cane (Rattan)

Cane is a natural material derived from rattan, a climbing palm. It has been used in high-end European furniture for centuries. Cane is lightweight, durable, and flexible. When woven, it provides strength while allowing airflow and visual openness. We use cane as a complementary material alongside solid hardwood to introduce texture and contrast.

Additional Natural Materials

When appropriate, we incorporate other natural materials such as leather or plant-based fibers based on design or structural requirements.

All materials are selected for longevity and integrity.
No synthetic materials. No mass production.
